Completion of an ICORA MED course does not constitute approval, endorsement or certification by any classification society, flag Administration, regulator or professional body; ICORA MED courses are not STCW-approved training unless expressly stated for a specific course; and completion does not by itself establish professional competence for any specific role, project or regulatory purpose.

Learners and their organisations remain responsible for applying appropriate professional judgement, identifying applicable requirements, and obtaining project-specific professional advice where required.

CPD hours shown on ICORA MED certificates and transcripts are ICORA MED's record of the learning time for the course. Whether they count towards a professional body's continuing professional development scheme is decided by that body.

ICORA MED does not claim to be an accredited certification body, and each certificate issued is labelled ‘Certificate of Successful Completion’, not as a professional qualification.
